Lamborghini began developing the Diablo in 1985. Although it was originally just known as Project 132 it was eventually launched as the Diablo in 1990.
The name originates from a 19th century fighting bull.
Lamborghini broke the 200mph barrier with the Diablo making it the worlds fastest production car with a 0-60 mph of just 4.5 seconds.
Between 1990 and 2002 there were many variations manufactured with the original two-wheel drive Diablo being partnered with a four-wheel drive VT 3 years later.
Lamborghini’s trademark upward-hinging scissor doors are always impressive and eyecatching and made the Diablo a sensation with its specification, styling and performance.
